  • Sessions outside of Utah
    Heather Gibb is available for destination sessions. Currently Heather will be in: DENVER June 9-11, SUN VALLEY June 13-16, DENVER July 5-7, PORTLAND, OR and Coast July 10-15, LAGUNA BEACH August. In 2008 I will also be going to Phoenix, AZ, San Diego, Eagle, ID and Las Vegas. Please contact me if you are interested in a session and I will keep you informed when I am coming your way!!!

Last but not least....MOMS

OK, first of all--I apologize that it is towards the end of January and I'm just finishing the Mom showcases up!  In January I tend to hibernate a bit more. It is so cold her (about 20 degrees today) so of course no on is wanting outdoors pictures (I can't imagine why????) and I like to regroup after an insane fall of lots of trips and wonderful sessions! 

But I am getting my Spring calander planned and will be posting more details soon. I'm hoping to be in Arizona, San Diego and Las Vegas this spring!

Here are some of my favorite moms!! Not to be biased because I've met some amazing moms! But the first is my dear friend that I sadly only get to see occassionally since moving! We've shared alot over the 9 years or so that we've been friends! Not only is she beautiful (I mean Hot Mom :)) she's so much fun, she's thoughtful and caring and she's a super mom to 4 boys!!

14. What's on your nightstand? Christmas catalogs, although my wish list is "Amish Grace"
15. What are your favorite websites or blogs to visit? PaperSource, Heathers!, bellegray.com
17. New Year's resolutions- yes/no? Care to share one?  settle down on the Diet Coke, play more with photography, and master wakeboarding
18. And last but not least, what do you *love* about Heather Gibb? (I had to!)  Basically everything.  I mostly love how fast her mind works, and that we have very similiar tastes, habits, and husbands for that matter!  She is a dear friend! :)

And last but not least, my dear sister! She's such a great supporter of me and has a great eye when I need second opinions on shoots! She's uber-talented and has been published in a lot of scrapbook magazines!! What can I say, but she's great and I love her!!

Moms again!

A few more great moms and families!  This family was soooooo sweet and loving to each other.  They all joked together and you could see a true bond and love with them!

Here we go:
1. First name & city:  Chris... Highlands Ranch, CO
2. How many children, first names and ages: Zach, 15 Josh, 13 Nicole, 11 Paige, 9
3. What's on the top of your Christmas list? Mainly another year of health and happiness for my family... 
4. What's on the top of your children's wish lists? IPods, A Guitar, American Girl dolls and anything to do with sports, sports, sports...
5. The gift you are most excited to give: The pictures we had taken by Heather.  They are for our parents and siblings...
6. What is your favorite family holiday tradition? Christmas Eve Mass and making cookies with my kids to give to all of the neighbors.  They like to walk in the snow to deliver them.
7. What's something you *don't do* during the holidays? I do not decorate for Christmas until Thanksgiving is over.   
8. Black friday- are you out before 6 am?  Since I've worked a lot of retail, I never shop the day after Thanksgiving.
9. Shopping- stores, online or both? Both... Online is great and very convenient.  My suburban doesn't have to waste so much gas.
10. One store getting a lot of your business for gifts this

Holiday

season: Apple, Pottery Barn and American Girl
11. Favorite holiday food? Prime Rib for Christmas dinner and all of the fun appetizers and cookies everyone makes... yum!!!
12. Favorite places to go with your children in the winter months: Skiing, sledding and just spending time together... I'm hoping for one good blizzard this year.
13. What was the last book you read to your children? My kids are older, so probably the Giving Tree, Narnia, etc...
14. What's on your nightstand? East of Eden by John Steinbeck... very good.
15. What are your favorite websites or blogs to visit? I really just answer emails, pay bills and check sports schedules... buy an occassional gift...
17. New Year's resolutions- yes/no? Care to share one?   Try to be more patient and enjoy every day... famous last words                                                                                                                                       

And last but not least, what do you *love* about Heather Gibb? (I had to!)  We loved our session.  We all had fun, especially the kids and I feel like Heather really caught their personalities in their portraits.  They are by far the best portraits we have had taken.... and there have been many over the years

Another fun family alot like mine- 3 boys!  Mom and dad were great to work with and be patient with their son! I always tell clients that 2 year olds have a mind of their own!!

6. What is your favorite family holiday tradition?  Simply trimming the tree.
7. What's something you *don't do* during the holidays?  Travel - maybe when kids are older.
8. Black friday- are you out before 6 am?  Nope.
9. Shopping- stores, online or both? Both.
10. One store getting a lot of your business for gifts this Holiday season:  Not really - my dollars are spread evenly and broadly across many retailers - TOO MANY (dollars and retailers)!
11. Favorite holiday food?  Roast anything and good sweets and snacks - LOVE it all!
12. Favorite places to go with your children in the winter months: Our backyard, the mountains for snow sports, Arizona, and California.
13. What was the last book you read to your children? "Cowboy and Octopus"
14. What's on your nightstand?  Glasses, lip balm, and 3 books.
15. What are your favorite websites or blogs to visit?  Varies daily/weekly - BUT currently enjoy www.heathergibbphotography.com!!!  big grin...
16. Any business or fun stuff you want to share? (Give a link if you have one, or contact info!)  If you like handmade things that are kinda fun and funky - check out www.etsy.com - great gifts!
17. New Year's resolutions- yes/no? Care to share one?  Yes - continue to work on practicing patience and releasing control (will be my mantra for many years ahead I'm certain).
18. And last but not least, what do you *love* about Heather Gibb? happy.png (I had to!)  Heather Gibb is a miracle worker.  I was convinced we'd be the ONE family that wouldn't produce a decent photograph.  The 2-year old was fitting (not in a cute way - in a blowing snot bubbles way), the 8-year old was forcing a smile that looked like he was in pain, the 10-year old had a bad haircut and was having a pale day, and Mom was having stress - OH, and Dad needed a haircut.  Heather smiled, worked efficiently and patiently.   The result - photos that captured our children's personalities and the essence of our "tribe".  We're so very happy with the beautiful, timeless images that Heather's camera and discerning eye were able to

This one was funny because I was trying to get their feet and even then the cute 2 year old did not want to hold still!  Mom ordered it as a 10x20- I love it when mom gets IT :)!
