I just returned from sunny LA and a chance to be with some of my most favorite people!! A few years ago, I traveled to Paris and met one of the most talented, beautiful, funny, sweet and just amazing friend! Fortunately for me we have been able to stay in touch and see each other occassionally. Her artwork is amazing and her exhibitions in France are a huge success and she is very well known! Rachel Ashwell of Shabby Chic has been selling her paintings, but can't keep them in. So Laurence decided to come and stay in LA to paint. She painted 28 of the most beautiful, eye catching paintings while she was here!!
So lucky me, I was able to go to Shabby Chic and see in person all of the amazing paintings! The Shabby Chic store is a perfect setting for Laurence's work to be showcased! You can tell in her paintings that she was inspired by Rachel's english gardens and the colors around her! Wow, to be surrounded by such talented women and beauty was so fun for me!!
Here are some photos from the exhibition. I'm not sure I can quite do justice to Laurence's paintings of tutu's and wildflowers- but enjoy!
